DOB:June 28, 2012

Alfie:

I have beautiful fluffy white paws, chest and belly with a huge fluffy tail. My fur is extremely silky soft and I've been told it’s absolutely gorgeous. It's fluffed out a whole bunch since I moved in with my foster mom ... you can see the difference in my pictures !

I have a warm wonderful loud purr and I love giving and receiving head bumps from the other foster kitties. I live with several of them, and we all get along. I do the best with kitties that are laid back and friendly - it was hard living outside. I love my foster mom and am learning to trust other people that are sweet and gentle with me. You can tell when I'm really happy because I'll be kneading on my blankets or your tummy while you hold me on your lap.

I was rescued by my foster mom and moved to her house as an adult kitty, and it's taken me a while to get used to life inside - but I'm loving it and don't ever want to go outside again. I didn't purr or meow for some time but I've learned I have a great meow that mom loves to hear. And you've already heard about my amazing purr. In certain situations I can still get spooked, but they are becoming less and less frequent. I have so much love to give that mom has actually nick-named me Love-Bug.

Fuzz:

My sister Izzy and I were part of a litter of Seven little kittens! Izzy and I were adopted together and spent many happy years with our adopted family until financial problems caused them to have to find a new place for us to live. We've missed them, but the people at their vets office took us in and have showered us with love and attention.

I have an incredible thick coat of white hair and beautiful yellow eyes. I love attention and will purr purr purr, especially if you'll gently rub my belly.

My sissy and I are looking for our new forever home. It would be great if we could be adopted together, but we'd be happy for each other even if we couldn't live with a new family together.

Fuzz and I were part of a litter of Seven! We were adopted together and spent many happy years with our adopted family but hard times fell upon our family and we ended up at Companion Animal Hospital of Wakefield (CAHOW) and now we need your help finding a new forever home.

We are very loving and will purr when our bellies are rubbed.

We would like to be adopted together. Please call CAHOW and you can meet us in person!

Jackie:

DECLAWED

Jackie is an exceptionally affectionate, loving and beautiful girl and you can't help be fall in love with her immediately. She's very social and absolutely loves people and being petted.

Jackie has recently gone through a really sad time ... she lost her loving home when her adoptive mother died suddenly. We all felt so terrible for her - it was the only person and home Jackie had ever known. We know she's mourning her tremendous loss but even so, she has been open and loving to everyone in her foster setting and seems extremely grateful to everyone for caring for her. We’re very proud of Jackie.

Jackie is on a weight loss program and doing extremely well. She is an exceptionally dainty eater! We all love sweet Jackie.

This special girl deserves an extra loving person and home !!

Lilly II

Breed:Short Hair - Tabby
Color:Gray and White
Sex:Female
DOB:July 30, 2004
Lilly II

Lilly II:

Lilly lived with her brother Phineas (orange tabby) and their family for 7 years; they were given up when Lilly developed stones and needed surgery.

Lilly is now healthy and adjusting to her foster home at the kind veterinary clinic. It’s been a very difficult transition for Lilly and Phin after being with their family for 7 years, though Lilly has stayed strong to help her scared brother Phineas who took the loss of his family extremely hard.

Lilly is extraordinarily gentle, accepting and very sweet. She and Phineas just need a second chance with an exceptionally loving person and home.

  • Gorgeous tabby girl
  • Gentle, loving and sweet
  • Just needs a 2nd chance

Manhattan

Breed:Short Hair - Tabby
Color:Gray
Sex:Male
DOB:September 20, 2008
Manhattan

Manhattan:

Manhattan is a wonderfully sweet boy who is looking for his forever home. He was originally caught as an 8 week old kitten living in the storm drains near IBM in Durham. Shortly after this, he was adopted (along with his sister Mai Tai) to a great home. Due to unforseen cir-cumstances with his previous owners, he needed to be returned (along with his sister) to Hobbes House. He is a very loving/outgoing boy. He loves to be rubbed and will happily roll on his back and allow his belly to be loved. Toys are an important part of his day. Between naps on the cat climber in the window and playing with Karina/Twix, he stays happy. Consider giving this sweetie a good home?

Check out my 2 baby pictures!

  • Loves other cats
  • Loves to be petted
  • Enjoys Laps
  • Loves kids

Marmalade

Breed:Short Hair
Color:Orange and White
Sex:Female
DOB:May 1, 2007

Marmalade

Marmalade:

DECLAWED

Lady Marmalade came to us as a stray that was living in the woods behind the home of a nice couple (who began to feed her). She made herself right at home by sleeping on their porch and eating treats from their hands. She also enjoyed all the love and petting that they gave her.

Lady M is a stunning cat with beautiful markings. Her fur is very soft and thick - snow white with large patches that are a striking orange color (dark like the sunset). Her eyes are also very beautiful and they match the tawny orange in her coat. She has a very pink nose with a sweet orange smudge on the side.

This wonderful girl had a rough life before Hobbes House. They found a BB (from a gun) under the skin in her side. But that hasn't kept her from being incredibly sweet and loving. She enjoys being petted, scratched behind the ears and will stand on her hind legs to get more attention. She loves kisses on the head and will "head butt" you asking for more ! Lady M will sit beside you or lay herself across your lap - especially when you have a blanket for her to snuggle into. Wait until you hear her soft purr showing you how much she returns your love. This girl will steal your heart.

  • Enjoyed living with a "cat" friendly yellow Lab.
  • LOVES petting and brushing time.
  • Her preference is to be an only cat but doesn't seem to mind other kitties as long as they play nicely with her.
  • Loves to give kitty smooches

Missy

Breed:Medium Hair
Color:Black and White Tuxedo
Sex:Female
DOB:October 1, 2012
Missy

Missy:

Missy is such a sweet and petite kitten with a gorgeous white bib, four white paws and golden yellow eyes. She is absolutely stunning! As you can see from these pictures, she just melts into your arms like liquid fur. She's happy as long as she's been cuddled and pet and will almost flip herself upside down trying to get each side of her face rubbed.

Since she was a young stray when we took her in, she hasn't had a lot of experience playing with toys. We're introducing her and so far she's an eager student! This sweet girl would love to be your new lap baby!

Phineas

Breed:Short Hair - Tabby
Color:Orange and White
Sex:Male
DOB:July 30, 2005
Phineas

Phineas:

Phineas lived with his sister Lilly and their family for 7 years; they were given up when Lilly developed stones and needed surgery.

Lilly is now healthy and Phin and Lilly are adjusting to their foster home at the kind veterinary clinic. It's been an especially difficult transition for dear Phineas after 7 years living with his family; Lilly has stayed strong to help scared Phin, which has been such a blessing.

Phineas is extra special: he is very gentle, loving and sweet. Even though he is still quite shy he loves being petted and his purr is the best! Phin and Lilly just need a second chance with an extraordinarily loving person.

  • Super handsome and gentle
  • Is the sweetest boy
  • Has the best purr

Spot

Breed:Long Hair
Color:Black and White Cow Kitty
Sex:Male
DOB:June 26, 2010
Spot

Spot:

Spot has already been through more in his young life than any cat should ever have to experience and yet, through it all, he has been gentle, happy and loving with everyone he meets. He truly is a special boy!

When he arrived at the vet clinic, although he was close to starving, he continually impressed all of us with his happy disposition, innocent outlook on life, and wonderful loving energy. And he's super cute too! He's mostly white with some large splotches of black with gentle golden eyes.

Spot is putting on weight now that he's settled in and gotten used to having food available. After all he's been through, he needs an extra special and caring person to give him a loving forever home. We hope you'll take a moment to meet Spot; you'll be glad you did!
