Lily

DOB April 16, 2000 DSH White
Female

I am such a beautiful girl with thick white fur and gorgeous crystal blue eyes  ... and that means that I am completely deaf.  Some might think that would be a hindrance, but I'm used to it - I've lived with it for eight years now.  Just think, you can vacuum near me, play loud music or turn the TV up too loud, and it won't bother me in the least.  Let me tell you, it makes for some awesome naps because I never get disturbed !

Along with nap time, I also enjoy being held and petted .. especially a good scratch on my shoulders and a rub under my chin.  I'll also join you on the sofa for some one on one time - I'd like to sleep up against your leg if you don't mind me snuggling in with you .

After I've had enough human time, I'll need a little space to go off by myself - I really enjoy sitting in my kitty bed and looking out the window at the leaves and birds !  That's actually why my owner had to give me up .. they had quite a few other kitties and a couple of dogs .. although the noise wasn't a factor, there were always animals around that wanted to play or just get in my space.   It's probably because I grew up deaf and had to be a bit more aware of what's around me, but there were just too many for me to feel comfortable and I had no place to call just my own.

If you have a quiet household where I could be an only kitty,  I would love to come home with you.  I adjust very well and there really is nothing that you need to do differently because I'm deaf.  Just make sure that you don't inadvertently close me into a closet, because I won't hear you call, so I probably won't cry out to you.
