Moderato - Adoption Pending!
** Note pictures were taken a few months ago - he's bigger now but just as cute! Moderato's eyes have changed color they are now golden!**

Moderato and his brothers were rescued from a storage trailer. They came in very dirty (imagine this sweet boy as orange and brown rather than orange and white!) After a much needed bath, ear cleaning and deworming things looked much better!
We had decided to go with a musical theme for this litter of kittens. I had decided we would name the 'leader' of the group, Maestro. As it happens Maestro is an orange and white boy that looks similar to Moderato - it seemed like a cute idea to name the second orange/ white kitten with the other "M" name - Moderato! And it worked out well! Maestro and Moderato do love their black and white brothers but these two seem to have a special bond. I often find them hanging out together, curled up almost intertwined. They certainly enjoy pouncing and playing (with each other and with their other brothers!).
Moderato seems to be 'second in command'. He follows Maestro into mischief and occasionally will decide to be the leader. Moderato was in fact the first one to 'conquer' the ball with the bell. Balls with bells are great kitten toys but all of the boys were scared of them except Moderato - he caught on quickly and had a blast playing with his ball right from the start!
Moderato loves to be petted and have his tummy rubbed. His new favorite thing is to climb onto my back whenever I'm squatting down to love on the kitties. I get the feeling it's a "I'm king of the mountain" kind of thing!
As you can see from the above pictures - Moderato is quite photogenic and very outgoing!
