Little Cloud

Domestic Short Hair - Gray and White
Female
Estimated Date of Birth August 14, 2006
I know, you must be saying “that’s a big cat “! In my previous home I was free fed and ate all day long. As much as I enjoyed it, I am now in the process of dropping weight. I have lost 2 lbs. and working on losing more. I love living in my foster home. I get to run around the house and play with all the toys! I have little toy mice, this thing with a feather on it, and something with a mouse on a stick!
I LOVE attention. I lay down and wait for humans to pet and rub me. There is nothing better than having humans rub my face, head and back. I get along great with other cats and don’t mind being held at all.
When human companions are not around I love to jump up in a cat climber and look at the window. Don’t let my size fool you, I can get around and jump high!
Little Cloud is truly a wonderful companion who is in need of a family that will give her attention and love. She is not shy and will gladly greet people she does not know.A side note - we rescued Little Cloud when she was a tiny 2 week old bottle feeding kitten! She was adopted as a kitten and then returned to us (the young girl in the house 'lost interest' ). Bottle fed kitties are really wonderful cats!

Chile Pepper

Domestic Short Hair - Orange Tabby
Male
Estimated Date of Birth April 18, 2008
Chile Pepper is one hot tamale! He's a fun, playful boy with all of the antics and energy you'd expect from a kitten. Without a doubt the family that adopts him will never lack entertainment!
You might not expect such a happy, active boy to have a quiet loving side but Chile Pepper does. He adores being picked up and held! In fact sometimes I think he'd rather be held than play with his brother and foster siblings.
Chile Pepper gets along well with other kittens especially his brother Chipolte and even with dogs. Have kids? No problem this fearless boy is ready to be played with by one and all!

Cedar

Domestic Medium Hair - Tortie
Female
Estimated Date of Birth April 24, 2008
Cedar is a medium haired Tortoiseshell or "Tortie". I'm sure you can tell from her pictures she's a stunning little girl!
Cedar and her siblings Juniper and Forrest were rescued when they were close to 8 weeks old. They came in scared but have made a lot of progress.
Cedar is the most reserved of the group (not overly surprising she is after all a tortie - a coloring known for having their own plan) . She does like to be pet and will sit on your lap and let you hold her. However she needs to go to a family that will be patient with her while she adjusts to a new home. She's not a fully confident outgoing kitten....yet. However she's got it in her to be a total love once she feels comfortable with a new place and people.
Cedar is the 'look before you leap' type. She likes to watch her brothers - to see how new adventures/ experiences go for them - before she 'takes the plunge' so to speak.
Cedar is great with other kitties but would probably run from small children.
Many families will be tempted to adopt Cedar based on her looks. We really want just the right family for this wonderful little girl. One with lots of patience and love. Cedar will require a slower than usual introduction to a new household. Obviously we'll walk the lucky family through it step by step!

Juniper - Adopted!

Domestic Medium Hair - Tabby with White
Male
Estimated Date of Birth April 24, 2008
Juniper is one handsome boy! He's a darker colored tabby with white feet and a little white area on his face. What really makes him striking is his medium length fur and longer hair in his ears. He's just so CUTE! You'll notice he's got big ears and almost a triangular shaped face with a slender body - rather a unique look.
His pictures don't do him justice the camera scared him a bit so I cheated and took these pictures right after he was neutered so he was a bit on the woozy side.
Juniper and his siblings Cedar and Forrest were rescued when they were close to 8 weeks old. They came in scared but have made a lot of progress.
Juniper is the most outgoing of his litter followed closely by Forrest. He wants to check out whatever is new and exciting. Juniper doesn't rush right in - he likes to watch something first then make a 'judgment' call as to whether to 'take the plunge' or not.
Juniper approaches me happily for affection. He loves to be petted and doesn't mind being carried around for brief periods. Juniper loves to play with his siblings and his toys!
Juniper is great with other kitties but would probably run from small children.

Forrest

Domestic Medium Hair - Tabby with White
Male
Estimated Date of Birth April 24, 2008
Forrest is one handsome boy! He's a darker colored tabby with white feet and some white on his face. He looks a lot like his brother Juniper except Forrest has more white on him. What really makes both of them striking is their medium length fur and longer hair in their ears. They are just so CUTE! You'll notice they both have big ears (Juniper's look a bit bigger to me) and almost a triangular shaped face with a slender body - rather a unique look.
Forrest and his siblings Cedar and Juniper were rescued when they were close to 8 weeks old. They came in scared but have made a lot of progress.
Forrest tends to follow his brother Juniper no matter what's going on. If Juniper wants to be petted - Forrest will come over too. If Juniper plays with a new toy and it all 'goes well' Forrest is willing to give it a try. Forrest isn't a leader kitten right now - I don't think he'll ever be a 'dominant' boy. If he's adopted alone I think he will come into his own over time.
Forrest does love attention - he adores having his head and back scratched!
Forrest is great with other kitties, but would probably run from small children.

Tarzan

Domestic Short Hair - Gray Tabby
Male
Estimated Date of Birth May 15, 2008
Tarzan and his siblings Ash, Peanut, Spanky, Romeo and Lola were all dumped in 90 degree heat in a sealed black box back by a dumpster at our vet's office. By sheer luck they were discovered just in the nick of time! All of the kittens needed extensive nursing back to health. They are now happy, healthy kittens that are ready for their forever homes!
Tarzan is a playful kitten and quite the climber! In fact we took him out to his first adoptathon and he was the one climbing the inside of the cage and sometimes even dangling from it. He's an outgoing love of a boy!
You might notice in his pictures that his left eye looks a bit 'funny'. It's got some scar tissue from a previous eye infection. He can still see out of it but not as well as out of his other eye. However let me tell you it doesn't slow him down one bit!

Ash

Domestic Short Hair - Black "Smoke" Tabby
Male
Estimated Date of Birth May 15, 2008
Ash and his siblings Tarzan, Peanut, Spanky, Romeo and Lola were all dumped in 90 degree heat in a sealed black box back by a dumpster at our vet's office. By sheer luck they were discovered just in the nick of time! All of the kittens needed extensive nursing back to health. They are now happy, healthy kittens that are ready for their forever homes!
Little Ash has the most amazing coloring I've ever seen. We've called him a black "smoke" tabby but that description just doesn't do him justice! He is simply stunning.
Ash isn't just a cute kitten with unique coloring - he's also a love-bug! This sweet boy just loves attention of any kind. He enjoys being petted, picked up and held and of course being played with! Ash gets along great with other kittens and I think he would be just fine with 'cat friendly' dogs.

Spanky

Domestic Medium Hair - Black
Male
Estimated Date of Birth May 15, 2008
Spanky and his siblings Tarzan, Peanut, Ash, Romeo and Lola were all dumped in 90 degree heat in a sealed black box back by a dumpster at our vet's office. By sheer luck they were discovered just in the nick of time! All of the kittens needed extensive nursing back to health. They are now happy, healthy kittens that are ready for their forever homes!
Spanky is a medium haired all black (with just a touch of 'smoke') kitten. Like the other kittens in his litter he enjoys playing and pouncing and just adores attention. Spanky is one of those kittens that just took to the idea of having his picture taken - can you tell he's posing for the camera? That was in between begging for attention! He just loves, loves, loves to be petted!
If you're looking for a really friendly, cute fluffy kitten - do come meet our Spanky!

Nacoma

Domestic Short Hair - Tabby
Female
Date of Birth April 18, 2008
Cute Nacoma looks like a 'bobtail' or a 'manx' in fact she's neither at least not by birth. She came in with a severely injured tail that had to be amputated. As a result she's got an adorable little tiny tail. It's SO cute!
You can see by her pictures (I think she should be a model - she's so cute and photogenic!) she's got stunning markings! But that's not all.... Nacoma has a great personality as well. She loves attention and will purr like mad to 'reward' you! She enjoys being picked up and held and even cuddling. Of course she's a kitten too so she loves to pounce and play - either with you or with other kittens.
If you're interested in this sweet little girl just let us know!

Sir Hunter

Domestic Short Hair - Brown Tabby with White
Male
Estimated Date of Birth October 14, 2004
Hello, allow me to introduce myself I am "Sir Hunter". I was just 'Hunter' until I came into Hobbes House, they already had a Hunter in their program so I was knighted so to speak!
My former family was in the military - they were transferred overseas and couldn't take me with them :-( It's all a bit confusing to me. I like my foster home, but I do miss my family. My foster dad, Dan is a nice guy but he keeps taking me out to adoptathons and they're no fun!
So I'm searching for a new forever family. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I'm a great cat, if I do say so myself. I love attention, I'll purr quite happily when you are loving on me - I just adore being petted. I also love to rub my face against yours. Want to pick me up and carry me around - that's great - it means more attention for me!
I get along really well with people (of course) and other cats. My previous family had small children - they liked to pick me up and carry me around - which is fine by me. I like kids.
Overall I'm a very sweet boy, a total love in fact. So ... are you my future forever family? If so please hurry up and adopt me, my bags are packed and I'm ready to go home!

Beaver

Domestic Short Hair - Gray Tabby
Male
Estimated Date of Birth May 1, 2008
Beaver is a light grey tabby with a unique look. He has long hair coming out of his really big ears. I'm not sure if his ears will always look large or if he'll 'grow' into them. I think it gives him rather an exotic look.
As you can see from his pictures his cute tabby stripes stand out really well against his light background. What you can't see is how soft his fur is or how much he likes to be petted :-) You also can't hear his wonderful purr but if you come out to meet him at an adoptathon I'm sure he'd be glad to demonstrate it for you!
Beaver is a happy, playful kitten....he loves to roll around with his siblings and chase balls and toys with feathers. While Beaver does enjoy his playtime he also likes to be held.
If you're looking for 2 kittens - Beaver has 3 brothers and 2 sisters that would love to go home with him. If you're looking for a similarly colored 'pair' of kittens - check out Badger he looks just like Beaver except he's a little darker!

Badger

Domestic Short Hair - Gray Tabby
Male
Estimated Date of Birth May 1, 2008
Badger is a handsome boy - in fact he looks a lot like his brother Beaver except he's a little darker. He's got a very handsome face (IMO) and distinct striping - if that's not enough you really need to check out his adorable polka-dotted belly!
Badger is one of those 'uncooperative' kittens in terms of picture taking. He's much more interested in playing with his siblings than posing for the camera. Makes for a wonderful fun, playful kitten but a challenging photo shoot! This sweet boy was chasing everything and even trying to play with the camera and my flip-flops! Needless to say he'd love a home with playmates - either people or another kitty! A nice active household would suit him just fine!
Badger loves attention - expect lots of PURRing from him as a 'thank you'!

Chipmunk

Domestic Short Hair - Gray Tabby
Male
Estimated Date of Birth May 1, 2008
Technically Chipmunk is a Gray Tabby however he's got a really different look to him. He sort of seems gray with an underlay of beige - ie you can't really see his stripes very well.
Aside from his rather unique look - Chipmunk is a really cool kitten! He purrs A Lot and like his siblings just loves to play! He is also one of those kittens that is completely comfortable laying upside down in your lap and having his belly rubbed :-) I rather suspect that he's going to be a major cuddle bug!

Gazelle

Domestic Short Hair - Dilute Tortie
Female
Estimated Date of Birth May 1, 2008
Gazelle is a beautiful 'unique' dilute tortie. That means instead of the usual tortie coloring she's got lighter colors - her fur is gray and peach! As she gets older the peach will stand out more and more. It's stunning coloring and kind of hard to get a good picture of.
Gazelle is one of those sweet kittens that loves to make biscuits and purr a lot! She's a wonderful girl - playful with her brothers and yet enjoys 'people' company!
If you're looking for a beautiful, playful kitten look no further than our beautiful Gazelle!

Callie

Domestic Short Hair - Torbie
Female
Estimated Date of Birth May 1, 2008
Many people would call Callie a calico. In reality she's a 'torbie'. A torbie is a tortoiseshell tabby. I'm sure you can easily see her tortoiseshell coloring but can you spot her tabby stripes? Needless to say she's a beautiful kitten!
Callie is shyer and more reserved than most other kittens. She needs to go to a home that will love her and be patient with her while she adjusts. I think Callie would enjoy a home with another cat or kitten in it.
While she starts out shy and reserved she does like to be held and will even fall asleep in your lap!

Hunter

Domestic Short Hair - Gray Tabby
Male
Estimated Date of Birth April 1, 2008
Check me out - I'm a handsome gray tabby! Some people might say I'm "just" a tabby but clearly they don't know the secret of the cat world....sssshhhh don't tell everyone but ... Tabbies are the BEST!!
It's true - however we don't want to spread that around too much or else other kitties that aren't tabbies (like my sisters Sunshine - calico, Sugar - dilute torbie and Ginger - torbie) wouldn't get adopted! So let's just keep that between us - OK?
My name is Hunter - I suspect it won't surprise you to learn I like to pounce and play :-) My sister, Sunshine is my 'partner in crime' - we love to play and explore together. People are loads of fun to play with too!
If you're looking for a really great kitten - check me out!!!
