Ah Princess Pumpernickel - what a kitty! She started off as 'just' Pumpernickel but with her regal bearing it soon became obvious that she is indeed a princess!
I had a feeling she was some kind of exotic breed mix so I e-mailed a breeder - they said she looks like a Somali mix. Ironically when I was poking around on the internet that was what I had come up with too. However I am in no way, shape or form an expert so I was very grateful to get an opinion from someone more knowledgeable.
Pumpernickel isn't demanding like a lot of princesses but she does know what she wants. She wants attention. She wants to sit in your lap and be loved on. And when you're typing on the computer she'll hop up sometimes and block the screen to let you know it's time to take a break and give her some attention.
You'll often find her lounging on the bed or regally sitting up watching the world go by. However just walk over and she's ready for some loving - any time of day.
Princess Pumpernickel gets along with other kitties as long as their not where she wants to be. She has been known to whap a kitty on the nose to get it to move when she wants to sit on my lap. She does get along well with dogs (as long as they respect her).
Pumpernickel would love to be an only kitty (all the more attention for her) but would be find in a household with one other animal. She's a sweet love of a girl!
