Weeble - Adoption Pending!

Domestic Short Hair - Tabby

Male

Estimated Date of Birth 3/17/08

Weeble is a special little guy and needs a special home.  Weeble was born with Cerebral Hypoplasia and has a few side effects from that.  Cerebral Hypoplasia effects motor function in cats and therefore he has a slight head tremor and can be a little unsteady on his feet.  He is a little more clumsy when he first wakes up, but after about 15 minutes he does much better.  Because he was born this way he doesn’t know anything different.  As he is getting bigger he is learning to compensate for his “wobbliness” and is improving every day.  Weeble probably needs to go to a home without stairs.  He is very good at getting up on things, but not so good at getting down.  At this point, Weeble does not seem coordinated enough to come down stairs.

Weeble was very afraid of me when I first rescued him, but has changed so much in six weeks.  He now greets me at the door and crawls up into my lap where he wants to stay.  All I have to do is look at him and he starts purring.  He does like to play, but sometimes his brothers and sister play too hard, so he has become really good at amusing himself.  He would probably do just fine as a single cat as long as he had a human friend to play with him.  He loves puff balls and toys that are tied to things that hang down for him to swat at.  Whoever takes Weeble home will be getting a true friend for life!
