Easy Ways to Help Us Save More Cats and Kittens!
Naturally all rescue organizations and other non-profits would love to have monetary donations and volunteers. Unfortunately not everyone has time or money to spare. Below are easy ways you can help us that cost little or no time/ money! We appreciate anything you can do to help!
Donate items for our yard sale
"Spring" cleaning is never fun but it's always a great feeling when you've gotten organized! Clean out your garage, attic and house and donate those unwanted items (clean and in good shape please) to us for our yard sale. Remember your 'trash' might be someone else's treasure!
Become a Foster Home
Ready for some feline company but not ready for a long term commitment?
Want a kitty to love on without the medical bills?
You provide the love and we provide the kitty! Rescue groups are limited by funds (hence so many fundraisers) and by 'space'. If you can provide a temporary home for a kitty (or 2 or a litter!) you will be helping us save more lives!
Hobbes House will provide all medical care. Contact Us if you'd like more information FosterKitties@gmail.com or 562-0697
Hang Up Flyers or Send out E-mails about our adoptable kitties e.g.
We can never get the word out enough - you can help! We will gladly e-mail you flyers to print off and post (at work, at your child's daycare, your local Starbucks or anywhere that has a community board) or you can e-mail them out to your friends. The flyers may vary - some are about our adoptable kitties, some are about fundraising activites. The main goal is to get our website and organization information 'out there'. Can you help? If so please e-mail us FosterKitties@gmail.com !
Use IGive and GoodSearch
If you shop with www.igive.com and specify Hobbes House as your cause a portion of each online purchase will be donated to us. It doesn't cost you any more than shopping online with each store's site. They have 680 brand name stores to chose from!
We all search the net from time to time - use www.GoodSearch.com and specify Hobbes House as your charity of choice. Each time you search they'll donate a penny to our cause. Doesn't sound like much but it all adds up!
Tell your friends and co-workers about our organization if they are interested in adopting a cat or kitten.
The more kitties we adopt out the more room we have for the others that need homes. There are so many homeless cats and kittens (especially kittens this time of year!) that we (and other rescue groups) just can't keep up. Please encourage your friends to adopt from a rescue group! We have awfully cute cats and kittens .... yes, I'm a bit biased :-)
